Water Conservation

Austin Water has many water conservation resources to help protect our drinking water supply. Remember that we are currently under mandatory Stage 2 watering restrictions due to the ongoing severe drought. Beyond adhering to watering restrictions, there is plenty our residential and commercial customers can to do conserve water and save money in the process.

Environmental Protection

Austin Water works to ensure a clean drinking water supply while protecting the surrounding environment. We work with our customers to prevent drinking water contamination by non-potable (non-drinking) water and make sure our wastewater is protected from pollutants, responsibly treated and returned to the environment.
