If not protected against the illnesses these immunizations will prevent, children can develop life-threatening medical conditions including brain damage, deafness, pneumonia, and seizures. Some diseases, like Rubella, can be spread to pregnant women and cause miscarriage or birth defects. Adult diseases that used to be common can now be prevented with immunizations.
Services
All services are available to children who are uninsured or on Medicaid or CHIP. Services are also available to uninsured adults.
Services are by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 512-972-5520.
Walk-in clinics are available one Saturday a month and do not require an appointment. At the North Austin Clinic, it is the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m (at 7500 Blessing Avenue, Austin, 78752). At the Far South Austin clinic, it is the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (at 405 West Stassney, Austin, 78745).
Fees
There is a $10 fee for each visit. No one is refused service if they are unable to pay.

Flu shots
Flu shots are available at the clinics during flu season, beginning in September, for uninsured and under-insured Travis County residents 6 months of age and older and all Medicare recipients. For flu shot appointments, call 512-972-5520.
